Bryan
Dawe is one of Australia’s finest political satirists.
He has enjoyed a long successful
career writing and performing on national radio,
television, on film and in print. Bryan is best known
for his work with fellow satirist, John Clarke, on
the 7.30 Report pricking the balloons of the nation’s
alleged political leaders; Bryan was a cast member
and writer of the critically acclaimed and highly
successful spoof of the Sydney Olympics, the ABC
TV series ‘The Games’.
Bryan has for many years been writing
and performing two much loved satirical characters
on ABC Radio: ‘Sir Murray Rivers QC’ and ‘Roly
Parks’ with his ‘Letter From Kalangadoo’.
Bryan’s ‘Sir Murray
Rivers QC’ character is much in demand as an
after dinner speaker at corporate functions across
Australia.
Bryan’s film credits include
the hit Australian film ‘The Castle’, ‘The
Honourable Wally Norman’ and Paul Cox’s ‘Lust
and Revenge’.
Bryan is Chair and co-founder of ‘Common
Fate’, a group working to support and promote
the work of senior indigenous leader, Pat Dodson.
Bryan had his first photographic
exhibition ‘Imperfect Illusions’ in Melbourne
in 2005 and has had a further two in Melbourne 2006/2007.
He has also shown in Sydney 2005, Canberra 2006 and
Daylesford 2007.
